‘Mozart Concert Arias’ CD

‘Mozart Concert Arias’ is the first CD of Olga Zinovieva’s project in which she is going to perform and record 30 concert arias that Mozart has written for soprano. The CD contains seven arias. Three arias ‘Ah se in ciel benigne stelle’ (KV 538), ‘Vorrei spiegarvi, oh Dio!’ (KV 418) and ‘Nehmt meinen Dank, ihr holden Gönner!’ (KV 383) Mozart composed for his sister in low Aloysia Weber. He had great admiration for her singing talent, flexibility and big possibilities of her voice. Aria ‘Un moto di gioia’ (K. 579) was written for the reprise of ‘Le Nozze di Figaro’ in 1789. It replaced Susanna’s aria ‘Venite inginocchiatevi’ in the second act. Arias ‘Vado, ma dove? oh Dei!’ (KV 583) and ‘Chi sa, chi sa, qual sia’ (KV 582) Mozart wrote for Vicente Martín y Soler’s drama ‘Il Giocoso Burbero di buon core’. Aria ‘A Berenice – Sol nascente’ (KV70) was written in 1769 when Mozart was 13 years old! The release of the CD was on October 3, 2015. Click here to order.
