‘Amadeus is my Love’ CD/DVD

‘Amadeus is my Love’ is Olga Zinovieva’s second CD with Mozart concert arias. The CD is a combination of studio recordings in MCO (Music Center of Broadcasting) and live concert recordings from the Royal Concertgebouw in Amsterdam. Olga Zinovieva opens the CD with Mozart’s famous motet ‘Exsultate, Jubilate’ (KV165). Mozart rounds off his motet with the cheerful and virtuoso ‘Alleluja’ which over the centuries has become one of his most famous aria. ‘Der Liebe himmlisches Gefühl’ (KV 119) is one of three concert arias that Mozart composed on a German text. The music of the orchestra accompaniment was lost and specially for this project an arranger/organist Vaughan Schlepp made a reconstruction. ‘Alcandro, lo confesso’ (KV294) is the first aria that Mozart wrote for soprano Aloysia Weber (Mozart’s beloved and later his sister in law). The aria with its long high-sensitivity lines is really a challenge for every soprano. The little aria ‘Ah! spiegarti, O Dio ‘(KV 178) Mozart wrote as a draft for the later aria ‘Vorrei spiegarti, o Dio'(KV 418) which has a diapason of more than two octaves. In this aria Mozart has no limits in the range of his composition continuing where over composers would stop, he delights us a high E! And it if that wasn’t enough he also creates a beautiful duet between the soprano and oboe. In addition to the audio CD there is also a DVD made with the video from concerts and studio recordings. Released in September 2017. Click here to order.
