In June 2017 Olga Zinovieva will sing five concerts of ‘Royal Music of Händel & Purcell’. Together with countertenor Sytse Buwalda she is going to perform exciting arias and duets from these two composers. Olga Zinovieva will sing beautiful arias such as the touching ‘Lascia ch’io pianga’ from Händel’s ‘Rinaldo’ and ‘When I am laid in earth’ from Purcell’s ‘Dido en Aeneas’. The love duet ‘Io t’abbraccio’ from Händel’s Rodelinda will be performed together with countertenor Sytse Buwalda, along with two arias for soprano and trumpet solo: mysterious ‘Eternal Source of Light Divine’ from Händel’s ‘Ode for the Birthday of Queen Anne’ and spectacular ‘Let the Bright Seraphim’ from his oratorio ‘Samson’ will be performed by Olga Zinovieva and the trumpet-player Frank Anepool. In addition to vocal works The Bach Orchestra of the Netherlands conducted by Pieter Jan Leusink will complete the program with Händel’s famous Water Music. Check the Calendar here.
